@streetyt1996 I know i a little late for me to say, but those applications are likely not helping your privacy/security, even if someone is doing that (which IDK).

Eagle Security, doesn't seem like its free/libre software (it also has some trackers):

https://reports.exodus-privacy.eu.org/en/reports/com.integer.eaglesecurity_free/latest/

I Wouldn't trust a random company with my phone.

This program: AIMSCID, relies on java 7 and other outated dependency versions which are EOL. I would not be surprised if 9.x (critical) vulnerabilities like RCE(Remote Code Execution) are in this app.

Please proceed with caution.

If you are concerned about these attacks, on modern versions of android (and especially ROM's like Graphene OS). You can set it to '5G' or '4G or later' only, it will mitigate some of the more trivial exploits. if its '5G' (New Radio) most Stringray attacks are mitigated, of course telephony infra is centralised, so if your adversary is a state adversary or highly funded adversary, you can't be fully safe there.

If you are interested in setting up something that can detect threats like IMSI catchers, etc. i am not an expert but the EFF recently made a good attempt, you might want to check it out:
https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2025/03/meet-rayhunter-new-open-source-tool-eff-detect-cellular-spying

Also, as an aside, how did you get AIMSCID working in 2024? i couldn't get it to run even with build from source.
A list of steps would help a lot, might even help people enter the project later down the line.
