Weβre excited to share that DetectionMetrics, as part of the JdeRobot organization, has been selected for Google Summer of Code 2025! One of the proposed projects focuses on expanding DetectionMetricsβ functionalityβyou can find all the details in the official project description.
With the rise of LLMs, the best way to showcase your skills and enthusiasm is through prior contributions and active engagement. Thatβs why weβre reaching out to our recent contributorsβif youβre interested in participating in GSoC 2025, now is the time to act!
How to Apply
The application period is already open and runs until April 8th (official timeline). Hereβs what you need to do:
β Review JdeRobot's pre-requisites for GSoC candidates. This includes completing some entry-level challenges and filling out a Google form to introduce yourself.
β‘οΈ For the DetectionMetrics project, the mandatory challenges are: RoboticsAcademy and Python.
β Start drafting your project proposal ASAP! Once you have a draft, reach out to us (the mentors) via email for feedback. Sharing your proposal early gives us time to help refine it, increasing your chances of success.
