Custom extension support in Edge

Edge Stable now has support for extensions, but ublock origin was removed from the list of recommended extensions and you can't install via crx/id like you can on Canary. Therefore, it would be really awesome if ChromeXt hacked past this limitation and added these options back into the developer page.

I realize ChromeXt will have its own Extension Support eventually, but this provides a temporary solution for some users.

That is a good news, and you provided a nice idea.
Currently I don't have a mature idea to implement extension support, which is much harder as you can imagine.

I will take a look at the extension support of Edge.

I am curious though, what size of donation would be good encouragement for you to work on this soon-ish, if any?

I am facing heavy pressures from my PhD research project, have to concentrate on it.

To install ublock on Microsoft Edge Stable:
1, Change phone's language to Chinese
2, Open Extension, install Ublock Origin
3, Back to your native language

But I prefer use Edge Canary because it can install .crx file. Adblock Extension Manifest V3 makes browser load faster

Best, you write a simple Adblock Extension Manifest V3 to block ads. It's faster, no ads when reopen Microsoft Edge with a tab
