Same happens to me from time to time... q stops working and when I run q doctor, the exact same error appears. I have to restart my computer and then it starts working again. I don't know what's causing this but can't seem to fix it without having to reboot.

Could you try running q restart this should restart the app, which might resolve the error. If this works it might indicate that our socket connection is not working 100% of the time and I will need to investigate that.

Nope, restarting q doesn't fix it, I have to restart my computer for it to work again. Obviously there has to be some process I could just kill to make it work without restarting, but I haven't found it. I have tried killing all things related to Q via Activity Monitor, but I keep getting the error.
