Thanks, confirmed it can be changed per camera. However the issues are still there with 5.0 and either preset. |

What kind of artifacts are you seeing with the QSV preset? What hardware are you running on and is the problematic camera a wifi camera? |

They are all POE hardwired cameras (except my doorbells) and that POE switch is connected directly to my main switch (where my frigate server is) is via a dedicated line on the SFP ports. The artifacts are flickering, and garbled frames with random colors. Example attached. It looks like the ffmpeg process is stopping and leaving gaps in the timeline as can also be seen in the image (the last couple minutes is with the qsv preset) |

@hawkeye217 Thanks for replying. Would that be similar to not using restream for that camera? If I include the stream directly in the camera config, instead of using go2rtc, it seems to have stayed recording at least since yesterday evening so far. (however the live stream is way choppier than it used to be - no artifacts just slow). I don't use the stream for anything else (just view the cameras via the add-on proxy in home assistant which I assume uses the same stream?) Anyway, I don't know if I would say it's 'solved' but I can live with the log errors as long as it stays up and the user experience isn't impacted (which it seems to not be, despite lots of log errors). |

go2rtc provides you with superior live views (including audio). If that's not necessary, you can certainly run the camera through Frigate's inputs directly. If ffmpeg is working in Frigate, it may also work with go2rtc. Can't hurt to give it a try. |

Describe the problem you are having
One of my cameras (RLC-823S2) stops recording or detecting after 2-6 hours. The live view is still available.
I have 9 other Reolink cameras, all which stay up for weeks - not without errors in the log though.
I have tried changing the input preset to preset-intel-qsv-h265 as per the 0.15 release notes but that makes the streams contain artifacts and random drops so I am back to preset-vaapi.
This camera points into a valley with wildlife and is detecting deer, bear and people over a very large area - hence I am using the main stream for record and detect. (same for most of my cameras, where I detect my cats).
Any ideas? I have shared the exact point in the logs where the camera stops recording. Other cameras stay up at that time.
All of my cameras spam the logs with this (note I tried the qsv preset but it 'makes' the streams contain artifacts galore):
