Feature Idea: Multi-Select files with mouse

First, thank you for the great product you are developing!

While playing a little with the demo, I noticed that you already implemented multi-select (nice!), however I always think it is a little awkward to select each element on its own. This already annoyed me for quite some time in Nextcloud...

Idea: If it is possible, I think enabling users to select multiple files via a clicked mouse selection, like you would do in a typical file explorer, would be a well appreciated feature.

We have some basic selection tooling like

• CAPS + click (Block selection)
• CMD + click (Add / Remove from selection)

What i noticed is, that these actions do only work if i click on the filename itself. They do not work if i click on the checkboxes.

Cool! Is there also the possibility to add a mouse selection (without Keyboard Shortcuts whatsoever)?
What I mean exactly is:

1. Click (left) mouse button and hold it pressed down
2. Span a rectangular for the selection
3. Release mouse button
4. Enjoy the selection you have

This workflow would go hand in hand with drag-n-drop into other folders for instance.

Yes, I already implemented better Shift(CAPS)-Click handling (opencloud-eu/web#177) and now I will improve the file selection: opencloud-eu/web#625
