Number of attached images

Quick summary

I saw the news (#1607) that from now on, a maximum of four images could be attached to a Mastodon post.
However, since this update, I haven't seen any changes: I still have three images attached, even though my posts contain at least ten. When I preview my post, I also only see three images.
Is the limit set in another configuration parameter ?

Add 4 or 5 images to a post :-)

It might be that you have saved the "old" limit, so the code will still fall back to this number. If you have installed the WP Cli, you can run wp option delete activitypub_max_image_attachments to delete your custom setting and fall back to the 4 images.

Btw. There is a new slider in the block editor where you can over-rule the default for each post.

Ah, thank you. I don't have WP Cli, but I found the setting in wp_options:

SELECT * FROM wp_options WHERE option_name = ‘activitypub_max_image_attachments’;

and I did indeed have 3 instead of 4. Thanks again.

@prolibre if you remove the option completely it will always use the default number, the plugin defines.
