Here is how your PR affects size of JS and CSS bundles shipped to the user's browser: App Entrypoints (~76 bytes removed 📉 [gzipped])
Common code that is always downloaded and parsed every time the app is loaded, no matter which route is used. Sections (~1992 bytes removed 📉 [gzipped])
Sections contain code specific for a given set of routes. Is downloaded and parsed only when a particular route is navigated to. Async-loaded Components (~1570 bytes added 📈 [gzipped])
React components that are loaded lazily, when a certain part of UI is displayed for the first time. Legend What is parsed and gzip size?Parsed Size: Uncompressed size of the JS and CSS files. This much code needs to be parsed and stored in memory. Generated by performance advisor bot at iscalypsofastyet.com. |

This tests well and code looks reasonable. There are a couple small items to note:
I notice the new ellipsis menu doesn't have the open/close animation the old one did:
I am unsure if we care about that, as many of our ellipsis menus on the dashboard and other places don't do this either.
Note that this change to the ellipsis-menu component will also affect some other items we haven't pointed out. For the most part, ellipsis menus I look for are unaffected, but one example I found are the cards on My Home for the checklist and blogging prompt. Both of these have had the same change as reader cards:
Im not sure if this was intended, but seems like a change towards consistency if we are getting rid of the more bold version with the animation.
Less related to this PR, but something I noticed in testing: it looks like we are in the process of changing "Unsubscribe" to "Subscribed" (again, I know we have had back and forth on this and some a12s reported "bugs" because they clicked it and didn't expect to be unsubscribed 🙃) and updated the copy in the ellipsis menu here, but I'm noticing on /discover we still use the term "Unsubscribe" on the card in contrast to "Subscribed" in the ellipsis menu:

If the above notes are all expected, then this seems good to go.

I'll work on updating "Unsubscribe" and a few other icons in a separate PR. |
