Use fetch instead of http

It will be good if we start advertising our fetch API support instead of the homegrown http module.

Yeah, agreed. I'll add this to our list for v2 of the quick start. For better or worse the http module is fairly ingrained into v1 so it won't be quick to swap out.

BTW fetch is global-ly available so there is no need for require-ing it.

That snippet is not in the latest released version of the modules, so it looks like it won't be available until 1.3. I can add this to my list of things to update once 1.3 is out.
