Synty Avatar not support

I am trying to use your avatar system with the characters of any synty package (low poly model), but everything stops when I want to retrieve the references automatically from the animator, it tells me that the character is not human (but I have set the rig as humanoid). Also is it possible to use avatars that do not have all the fingers on the hand?

Is there a way I can get any of the characters to test it? Support for hands with other than 5 fingers is in our roadmap.

The problem is the model you're trying to import doesn't have a valid rig for Unity to create a humanoid avatar. You can check the errors on the model import window:

Although Unity doesn't let you, we will add support for non-human hands. For now it's still unsupported.

If the character model was brought into a program like Mixamo to be given a new (humanoid) avatar, could that theoretically solve this issue? Not sure how they are with hands/fingers but I have worked on projects where we imported original char models there for the purpose of using them in Unity.
