FR: Add F12 keyboard shortcut to open Options dialog box

I find I need to open the Options dialog box a fair amount. Would it be possible to add the F12 key as a keyboard shortcut for it, please?

What about making it configurable? I'm accustomed to Ctrl + being used to zoom into the contents of the screen.

In the future, I would like to be able to customize keyboard shortcuts, but I am still hesitant to do so because I foresee that it would take a considerable amount of development time.

I believe @sdottaka was saying to use Ctrl+, - not Ctrl+ - which is consistent with e.g. VS Code. So zoom function would be unchanged.
