deploy a new algorithm

i'am trying to deploy my own algorithm so should i make a docker image or there is a better method i don't know so much about sagemaker so can anyone please give the steps to deploy my own algorithm

Hi @walidsliti . Yes, to run your own custom machine learning algorithm in SageMaker, you'll want to add a docker image in AWS ECR. We have two examples which walk through this process in detail; one for Python scikit-learn and the other for R. Thanks.

Hi @walidsliti .
It looks like NILMTK install process is a bit involved. If it was pip installable (which looks like an open feature request), then you could just include the pip install in a Dockerfile RUN command as show here.

But, your best bet might be to setup an installation script based on the commands listed in the README of the link you provided. Then, once you get that tested and working locally, COPY and RUN that script in your Dockerfile. Here's a stackoverflow question that may be helpful.

Thank you djarpin this was very helpful, but i want to ask you i need to install the anaconda so do i need to take an existant image of anaconda from docker hub then i copy and run the script or i have to take the ubuntu image

Hi @walidsliti - We use the Ubuntu image for our examples because it's fairly straightforward and standard. But, there's nothing locking you into using the Ubuntu image. Starting from the anaconda docker image should be fine. And it looks like that's based on debian, so the NILMTK install instructions for Ubuntu-like systems shouldn't require much (if any) modification.

i put in nilmtk_install.sh the script of installation start with a shebang
is that right
