Zones for LPR in beta 16?

I hate be a pain (again) but after reading #17589, I feel like I may be a little less of a pain LOL. I installed Beta 16.0 and love it so far. I am having a little trouble with lpr though. I see in the docs that for native model detection zones and motion masks it says "supported". I asked ChatGPT (big mistake again) but the options they gave didn't work - like using lpr.required_zones. Would it help detection/ processing to reduce the size of the area (zone) to an area where I think plates will show up in? If so how would I do this in the camera profile?
Also, out of curiousity: does lpr look at multiple snapshots or is there any way to have it do so and/or any reason to?
I will probably be getting a Frigate + subscription here shortly anyway and may not need to worry about zones. Thanks as always for the help and this awesome project.

I don't think LPR works with zones, as in there is no required zones config. You mainly filter out plates by setting min_area so the plate has to be a certain size to be processed by the camera.

And yes, plates are processed across multiple frames regardless of if the car mode or dedicated mode is used.

The third camera has the best angle and I get the correct outcome in integration. The snapshot isn't as clear though and I got only 1 the other day when I would've thought there could easily have ben 4 or 5 if taken per second

I am going to get a subscription to plus. Even if it doesn't help much I can contribute to the great work you guys have done. As always - thanks for the help and patience. I usually read the docs but still have questions in some cases. I tried using motion mask over "Garage" but never tested - deleting the overlay was easiest since I already know what the camera name is LOL. The timestamp is at the top behind a motion mask already - not that there will ever be a car up there. I have enable the debug option; ChatGPT had me enter a lot more than that and it didn't help. Better to get my info from the developers than a stupid AI. Thanks again

Thanks for all the help. I am re-reading the docs now; hopefully I can comprehend them better this time LOL. I am getting a plus subscription today, if for no other reason than to supprt the development of this awesome project. Also I will mark this as answered
