- choose a method of logging using a self-hosted DB, probably H2, but do research before choosing and consult with the team - by the point this is done we will probably already have been using a self-hosted DB so just use that one
- log any important details which would help us improve the user experience:
- runtime errors
- the time it took to run specific parts of the system update process, etc.
Have to do GDPR, etc. checks before
