Escrow Buddy with Smartcards

Hello everyone,
we are currently in the process of rolling out Escrow Buddy to our customers. For many of our clients, we use YubiKeys for authentication, which can use smartcards to decrypt both the user account and FileVault.

In a test environment, everything works perfectly when we use just the password to log in. However, we receive the error "User could not be authenticated" when trying to unlock the user account using only the smartcard after setting GenerateNewKey true.

Are we missing something here, or is this feature not yet supported?

Hi @tastyreeco — Smart card authentication isn't supported at this time, and would take some engineering time for somebody who uses smart cards to build out and test. Check out #5 for context.
