On big list items query request sometimes take a long time, and because was used standard PnP.Core timeout of 100 seconds, I wondering if there is a config to increase this.

Some config to adjust this

Actual behavior

PnPCore:HttpRequests:Timeout is 100s seems to be hardcoded/unchangable

would be interested in a solution to this, as intermittently getting the same error on Get-PnPFolderItem -FolderSiteRelativeUrl $ListName -ItemType File -Recursive and Get-PnPProperty -ClientObject $File -Property versions and would be quite happy to just wait a little longer by default vs having to handle retry conditions

Just started see this error on Get-PnPTenantSite. Digging into the problem, the issue is that the http.timeout was changed to default to 100 seconds. I tried setting the value outside of the PnP cmdlet and it didn't solve the issue. Is there a way to have a parameter added to commands to change the the http.timeout value?

hey you can use SharePointPnPHttpTimeout env variable to your custom value in seconds. Hopefully that helps in your case.

Where do you set this Timeout value? I'm not seeing it documented on the PnP PowerShell site.

That seems to have solve the issue for me. I just added $env:SharePointPnPHttpTimeout = XXX to the code. Replace XXX with the new value. Is this documented somewhere?

You need to set it like this: $env:SharePointPnPHttpTimeout = -1 or $env:SharePointPnPHttpTimeout = 500 or something > 100
I looked at the source code. It is not documented. Feel free to submit a PR , happy to add it somewhere in the docs.
