Puppet 4.10 comes with ruby 2.1 is there a way to let puppet use newer versions of ruby?

As the title says.

Yes I know I have to update puppet. Anyway would it be possible to update the ruby versions on the puppet agent? At the moment it is ruby 2.1

This answers myself: better not to update ruby.
