Support shebang style java files

What file name extension are you giving to these Java files? The way we use the VS Code API, our language support only activates for files based on extension name. See

We do however have a mechanism to allow support for arbitrary files. Simply add your mapping to files.associations and the extension will treat those files as such. See https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/languages/overview#_add-a-file-extension-to-a-language for more info.

Sorry, I wasn't being clear. I'd just like that the first line would not be considered an error:

Ideally there would be some heuristics about whether to mark it as an error, a warning, or not at all. For example if it's a .java file under src/main/java of a Maven project, I'd still expect it to be marked as an error. But if it's in a random folder and doesn't seem to be part of any project, I'd expect it to not be marked at all.

I see. This would probably require some updates to the JDT compiler (for ECJ). @datho7561 , does the experimental javac support in JDT handle this ? As far as I can tell, it spits out a slightly different error, though it certainly compiles with javac.
