Part of #1066.

The ZK 3.9.4 vote has failed but @lfrancke suggest backporting the following:

  • but only if we end up reusing patched libraries from one build in our other products (re @dervoeti )
• https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ZOOKEEPER-4925
  • A data loss issue introduced in 3.9.3
  • not merged upstream, worth watching though

Tip

Please add the scheduled-for/20XX-XX label, and add to the Stackable Engineering project.
